Well, so it turns out that they key I found for Windows Vista, while it should be valid, won't activate. Bastards!
However, I found this nice little article on a perfectly legitimate way to keep "evaluating" Vista. Seems I can do that for at least a few months, and likely 8 or 9 months. Very cool! :)
