Canadians Underrepresented in Porn?

Apparently so.  So much so, in fact, that they Canadian Government has been forced to step in and help out.

Who knew?

What I want to know is what exactly makes Canadian porn different from US porn?  Is it just that they perform the vaunted soixante-neuf?

It's Not My Fault

When I was a kid, I had numerous ear infections.  In fact, many were so bad that they required tubes to be jammed up into my eardrum in order to allow them to properly drain.

Well, it now looks like this is likely what causes me to be overweight!  At least according to this story in the Washington Post.

I'm a victim!  It's not my fault!  :-)

Death, Taxes, and Congress

The only difference between death and taxes is that death doesn't get worse every time Congress meets.

NES anyone?

Every now and again something comes along to remind me that I'm not quite the nerd I think I am.

The guy who owns http://nintendoearth.com/ is cashing it in.  And not just the domain.  He's selling his complete collection of every NES game ever made!  He's even throwing in a mint condition NES system and a couple of games that were never released to the public.

And all for the rock bottom price of $3800.  But hey, he'll ship it all for free!

Blue - Day 2

Yesterday was my second full day with blue hair.  Of course, the office folks were abuzz for the first few hours, mostly curious about what the deal was, how hard it was to dye, how long it will last, etc.  And of course, many in and out of work have expressed the requisite "I think it looks good" sentiment, including more than a few of the girls at the bar, etc.  And while I believe them, what are they going to say?

But out in public, it's been a lot different than I expected.  I'm sure people notice, but no one has made a big deal about it, or even asked about it.  I guess most just think it's a style choice, versus some fundraiser deal, which makes perfect sense.

But yesterday for some reason, during lunch, I happened to run into three different sets of kids.

The first I heard out of the corner of my ear.  I was walking into Rubio's, and I heard, "Look.  He's got blue hair!"  The parents immediately tried to hush up the kid, and when they noticed that I'd heard, began to apologize.  I actually felt bad.  Why would you hush your kid up over something like this.  I mean, I'm walking around with freaking neon blue hair!  It's like a girl with a huge rack wearing a string bikini, and then getting pissed that I notice her tits.  Really?

Anyway, I walked over to the kids, who were fascinated.  We had a great chat.  It was fun.

Then, after lunch, I rolled over to the Robek's for a smoothie.  Next to me in line was a little kid with his mom, and he was equally fascinated with my hair.  She, however, embraced it, and asked me if I minded if he asked me about my hair.  What a cool kid.  And then walking to my car, two other kids noticed, and asked their mom if they could dye their hair blue too!  :-)

But the highlight of my day was the cute girl behind the counter at the Robek's.  As I was about to turn and leave with my smoothie, she sheepishly said, "I really like your hair."  Finally, an impartial adult reaction.  I smiled what I'm sure was a huge smile, and said thanks.  Did I mention she was really cute?

Man, I'm really craving another Robek's smoothie right now.  :-)
