So, I finally purchased a new weapon yesterday. I bought myself a Beretta 92FS (9mm) pistol. But when I say bought, what I really mean is that I paid for it. I have yet to take possession of it, thanks to the 10 Day Waiting Period. Mind you, I am a law abiding citizen (if you don't count speeding on the freeway), and have never been convicted of any crime, felony or otherwise. Yet I must wait 10 days before I can pick up a pistol that I already own. Just plain silly if you ask me. But maybe I must wait because this is my first weapon purchase. I guess that would make sense, right? I mean, if you already have a weapon of some sort, why would you buy a new one to commit some crime of passion? But alas, no. If I choose to buy another weapon (after waiting the mandatory 30 days, of course), I will again have to pay the dealer 10 days before actually being given my purchase. Now this is silly. Anyway, my 10 days expires at 1:16pm on the 26th. Looks like I'll be taking a late lunch that day.
